My English is not good, though I have invested considerable time and money in improving it. So usually comments about English texts of mine are of the kind „you don't say so in English“ or „you should have written…“, rather than dealing with the content. I can do without that.

Interestingly, this never happens to me in Italian, Spanish, or Dutch, though my fluency in these idioms is very limited, too. A question of tolerance, I suppose.
